Shrüm Mushroom Syringe
A Shrüm syringe is a pre-sterilized tool containing live, growing mushroom mycelium suspended in a nutrient-rich sugar solution, used to inoculate grain spawn or substrate
How It Works
Active Mycelium: Unlike spore syringes that contain dormant seeds requiring time to germinate, contain living tissue that starts colonizing immediately upon injection.
Faster Colonization: Direct injection of active mycelium speeds up growth timelines and significantly lowers contamination risks.
Volume: Shrüm options often come in sizes like 12ml, packed with a sterile needle and alcohol swabs for aseptic application.
Basic Usage Steps
Sanitize: Wipe down your workspace, hands, and the injection port on your grain bag or jar using 70% isopropyl alcohol.
Mix the Syringe: Shake the syringe thoroughly to distribute the suspended mycelial clusters evenly.
Inoculate: Insert the sterile needle through the self-healing injection port and inject the recommended amount (typically 1–2 ml to several ml depending on your substrate size).
Store: Keep unused portion
