After working with MycoBoost for a few months now we have noticed it may slow down colonization but strongly increased yield, especially on fast growing species. We usually mix ours in with DinoSoil from Twisted Tree which we also sell on our site.

I met the owner at Oklahoma mushroom fest. I purchased a small jar to give it a try. I have since purchased a 5 lb tub. Works great. I haven't noticed it slow anything down but have noticed full tubs.
